Limbering up and stretching appropriately is very important before any Bound Lotus practice. Yogi Bhajan said that any warm-ups that would open the body up, especially the hips and shoulders, were suitable for Bound Lotus. In the Bound Lotus Manual, Mahan Kirn Kaur recommends some warmups that are particularly useful for preparing the body to enter Bound Lotus.
