Feeling angry? Boss, partner, kids, or the guy who cut you off leaving you fuming? Need some quick yoga to release your pent up frustration? Yogi Bhajan gave us a simple mantra as a remedy for releasing anger.

He said it means “clear perception of what is important to preserve” and that it “links the essence of your purpose to the greater minds and souls in the cosmos.”

Remember a time when you were very angry (or now!) and connect with that feeling of rage and desire to lash out. Consciously feel angry, and then sit down for 11 minutes and chant “Wahe Guru, Wahe Guru, Wahe Guru, Wahe Jio.”

When your tongue hits your upper palate, it will stimulate meridian points that impact the thalamus. You will calm down. The sacred power of the words will alter your emotional state. This quick practice works wonders. Try it!
