The Moon is waxing. This is a time to grow and build on the ideas and goals that you put into motion during the time of the New Moon this past weekend. Every night, as the Moon grows larger and stays up later, you will find your emotional reserves growing as you nurture the seeds that you have just planted. Take note that Mercury turns retrograde this Thursday. Use the first couple days of the week to backup data on your phone and on your computer. Finalize any deals or sign any contracts that need to be signed. If you are looking to buy a car, computer or something with electronic or mechanical parts, do it before Thursday!
The week begins on an emotional note with the Moon in feisty Scorpio. Taboo issues that have not been dealt with are coming up to the surface for evaluation. You can no longer ignore the situation or skate along just dealing with the surface issues. Now is the time to dig deep into the core of the matter. Get to the heart of the situation. Uncover what’s there, bring it to the surface and deal with it once and for all.
Finish up tasks and important agenda items on Tuesday morning. See things through to their completion. The push to the finish line feels good. Get it done. At 1:34pm EST (10:34am PST), the Moon goes void-of-course and for the next four and a half hours, our intuition is off. Take a long lunch break! Don’t make any big decisions or plans during this time. We have lost our sense of direction and interactions with others are off. We get back on track at 6pm EST (3pm PST) and after that you have a better sense of which direction to take and how to proceed.
Uplift others on Wednesday. Be the forklift. Words of encouragement go a long way. Take a risk. There is a lucky star guiding us on this day, encouraging everyone to go big. If you need a little boost spiritually, turn to Gurunam Singh’s album, “The Journey Home.” This classic favorite is a feel-good uplifting collection of mantras that get your toes tapping and keep you chanting along. Tracks such as the “Mul Mantra” and “Pavan Guru” lift your spirits and transform the energy of everything around you.
Thursday is the day when Mercury stations and then turns retrograde, meaning that it appears to be moving backward in its orbit. Thursday is also Halloween! It is a good day to meditate and go inward since Mercury, the planet of the mind, has slowed down to a stop, therefore helping to bring your mind to a stop. For the next three weeks, we will be under the influence of this Mercury retrograde motion, a time to review, reflect and relax. It is not a time to sign contracts, buy anything with mechanical parts or go on any big road trips. There are likely to be delays in travels, misunderstandings with regard to directions and instructions, and breakdowns of all sorts – printers, phones, cars and interpersonal communication.
The Moon is in Capricorn on Friday, asking us to get serious, grounded and get to work. Stay focused on the tasks at hand and try not to get side tracked. This is a day to set goals and work towards them systematically one step at a time. Pay attention to the clock and don’t be afraid to say no to invitations to things that might throw you off track.
Carry this strong work ethic into your home on Saturday. This is a good day for a deep clean and deep cleanse. Have fun with it but get the work done. Get all of the family members involved. Clean out drawers, cabinets and closets. The work will be extremely rewarding.
Sunday marks the end of Daylight Saving Time, for the states and countries that observe it. This is the day to “fall back”, as it were – setting the clocks back an hour at exactly 2am. What will you do with that one extra hour? Get up early and meditate! The rest of the day will be smooth sailing if you do.
