Monday is Memorial Day for those in the U.S.. We are remembering those who served, and also remembering those who have died. On Monday morning, the Moon finishes up her transit through Scorpio, the sign of birth, death and regeneration. These heavy themes are on our minds and in our hearts. We are looking at our own mortality and our own legacy. What will you leave behind when you die? How will you be remembered? The Scorpio energy asks us to go deep and really self-examine. How do you serve in your daily life? What is your seva? At 1:30pm EST (10:30am PST), the Moon goes void-of-course. For the next five hours, we might find ourselves in a fog. We have temporarily lost our sense of direction and purpose. During this time you should avoid making any big plans or commitments. Simply reflect, enjoy, relax and socialize. Take it easy. Hopefully you have the day off from work and can enjoy a nice afternoon hammock nap in the shade.
The big event on Tuesday is the Full Moon in Sagittarius. The emotional energy is high and people’s true colors are being revealed. The Full Moon is exposing the truth. Sat nam. Notice it in yourself and the people around you. Be honest. Be brave. Shoot for the top. This is a time to look at your goals. Think big. Where do you want to visit? Where do you want to take your family? Where do you want to travel? Intellectually what do you want to accomplish? Maybe there is a class you want to take or a retreat you want to go to. Maybe you want to learn to play a musical instrument. It is never too late to start!
Wednesday is a day for communication. Reach out to others. Uplift others. Remember that your job is to elevate. Elevate every situation that you are in. Be the encouraging coach that gives the locker room pep talk. Maybe you are in need of some encouragement and upliftment yourself. If there is no one nearby to give you that talk, consider submerging yourself into the naad. Mantra is the cure-all. Gurunam’s The Journey Home is the recommended album for this time. His uplifting, easy-to-sing-along arrangements of powerful, energizing mantra is the perfect album to have playing throughout your day.
The energy shifts slightly on Thursday. You may need to rein yourself in. Consider the boundaries, and the rules that you need to follow. This is a day to get to work in order to accomplish the goals that you set for yourself. Be aware of the time and get moving. Get the ball rolling. Feel free to decline invitations. It is ok to say no. Your time is valuable. Be conscious of how you spend it.
You can accomplish a great deal at the workplace on Friday. Demonstrate your commitment to the team. Take a leading role and get it done. Others are taking note. You have the opportunity to make a good and lasting impression on others. Lead by example. Your dedicated spirit will encourage others to follow suit. You will make good time in all of your endeavors.
Saturday morning is a good time to sleep in. The Moon is void-of-course for most of the day, suggesting that you shouldn’t make any big decisions until after 6pm EST (3pm PST). During this void-of-course period, remember that we may feel directionless. Our intuition is off. Interactions with others feel awkward. Look out for unexpected events in the afternoon. Feel free to go with the flow. Let the spontaneity of the day take you where it wants to take you. Let go of preconceived notions or plans. People will come out of the woodwork and surprise you.
Sunday is a time to connect with like-minded individuals. Join hands with those who share the same beliefs, political views and/or spiritual paths. Get together and celebrate. Have a meal together, make a plan. Share ideas and visions. Bring your unique perspective to the table. Unite and feel the support of the team. There are others around you who are looking to connect. Make it happen. You can achieve greatness together.
