The Moon is diminishing this week. She is waning – rising later and later each night to the point where you might be going to bed before she even wakes up. As a result, you may feel as if your nightly sleeping schedule is thrown. She is keeping your subconscious active while your mind is trying to rest. Our emotional reserves may dwindle this week as the Moon gets smaller and smaller in the sky. Go easy on yourself and each other. Say ‘no’ to people and invitations if you feel yourself getting over extended. Choose meditative yoga sets as opposed to challenging physical ones.

The Moon is void-of-course for the entire day on Monday, suggesting that you shouldn’t even bother going to work today. No major decisions should be made. Cancel any big strategy meetings. Anything planned during this time is likely to be misdirected. Our intuition is off and we feel as if we have lost our sense of direction. Stick only to routine tasks.

The Moon enters creative, sensitive Pisces on Tuesday, suggesting that this is a day to connect with your inner artist. Paint, draw, make music. Express yourself in ways that don’t involve the spoken word. If you feel you need some inspiration in this area of your life, consider Harnam’s album, “Awakening Your Creative Fire”. His rendition of the “Ra Ra Ma Ma” meditation will get your toes tapping and get your creative juices flowing.  Or dive in to Hari Kirin’s e-book Art & Yoga to explore ways to open up your creativity.

The moon is at “half-mast” on Wednesday, rising at midnight and setting at noon. During this time, the beginning of the 4th quarter, she is at exactly 90 degrees to the Sun, suggesting a stressful relationship between the two luminaries. As a result, you may feel tension with the opposite sex. One side is in their heads while the other is feeling extra emotional. One side may be taking things lightly – maybe too lightly – while the other side feels as if they aren’t being heard. Feelings are running deep.

There is a morning void-of-course period on Thursday, suggesting that this is a good time to sleep in. No good decisions will be made during the first part of the day. We feel as if our direction and intuition are completely off. It isn’t until 5:30pm EST (2:30pm PST) that the Moon comes back “online” and we feel ourselves returning to normal. We can make a decisions again. Full steam ahead!

There is an extra spark in the day on Friday, thanks to the Aries Moon that is telling us to take a risk. Get up and get moving. There is an aggressive edge to the day. There is a feeling of competition in the air. Anger arises more easily on a day like today. Keep this in mind and keep yourself in check. If you are looking for a way to release this excess energy, go exercise! This is the perfect day for a strenuous hike or a bike ride with friends. Find a healthy channel for the extra steam in your engine.  If you’re looking for a great series of high-energy yoga classes, try the series “Renew Your Body, Mind & Spirit With Kundalini Yoga – Recorded Live at Sat Nam Fest

This assertive, active energy continues into Saturday, suggesting that you get started early and get going.  Do some active yoga from this course. Enjoy a soccer game or basketball game with a group of friends. Get outside and mow the lawn.  You have plenty of energy at your disposal, so use it. At 3:37pm EST (12:37pm PST), the Moon goes void-of-course and will remain so for the rest of the day. Watch your words tonight. Your intuition is off. Your thoughts may go in circles. This is not a good time to make any big plans or decisions. It’s not the best time for a first date.

Enjoy yourself and the company of others on Sunday. This a day to relax and appreciate your surroundings. Share good food, listen to uplifting music and take advantage of the creature comforts that life has to offer. Exchange massages with a loved one. Take a bath. This is a day to slow down and relax. Lay a blanket down in the park and listen to music. Better yet, play some music yourself. If you are interested in tackling an artistic project, this is a great day to do it – and get it done.
