The Moon is waxing this week. We are coming off of a super-charged emotionally intense weekend with the Summer Solstice and New Moon Lunar Eclipse. Now is the time to start growing the wishes and dreams that were put into the universe at the time of the Eclipse this past weekend. Put your intentions into action. Adjust your daily routine to include those things that resonate with you and eliminate those things which no longer serve you. In addition, remember that Mercury is retrograde. This is not a time to sign contracts or make plans. Instead it is a time to re-do, re-view and re-lax. Avoid buying anything with electronic or mechanical parts. Also remember that delays in travel are likely to be more common than usual.

Also remember that the Sun has just moved into Cancer – the sensitive water sign relating to the mother. For the next four weeks, we are influenced by this background energy of the Sun’s transit through the sign of the crab. As a result, everyone is more sensitive than usual. People are likely to be moody. This is a time when we may be putting up a tough outer shield to protect our super sensitive insides. It is a good time to take care of issues on the home front.

On Monday, the Moon is in Cancer as well. The feeling of moodiness and sensitivity is magnified even more. This is a good day to connect with the water element. Take a walk by the water or better yet – jump into a large body of water. Swim. Feel into the emotions. Heal any turmoil there. Consider the beautiful album, “Agua De Luna” by Mirabai Ceiba. Tracks like “El Rio” and “Heart of Perfect Wisdom” are exactly perfect for this time. Feel into your heart and resonate with the knowing that is there.

The Moon moves into boisterous Leo on Tuesday, offering a bright ray of sunshine to the cloudy mood. This is a time to let your heart shine. Connect with the child within. Connect to your own innocence. Have fun with the people around you. Be creatively expressive through music, dance and art.

Wednesday is likely to be a very challenging day. You are likely to feel out of sorts and off balance. It feels as if we have lost our sense of purpose. We have lost our sense of direction. This is because the Moon is void-of-course for the entire day. As a result, you should avoid making any big decisions or plans. Interactions with others are off. Stick to routine tasks. Take everything with a grain of salt.

This feeling continues on until Thursday morning and doesn’t find relief until 1:05pm EST (10:05am PST). After this time, we are in the clear. Our intuition is back online and we feel confidence returning. Use the rest of the day to organize, take care of details, and get grounded.

Friday is a good day to focus on your health and personal needs. Ask yourself what you need to change in your daily routine in order to create a better overall lifestyle. Be specific. Write things down. Be honest with yourself about what needs to change.
Use Saturday morning to clean and take care of chores around the house. Get into the cracks. Take care of the small duties that you have been neglecting. Use the afternoon to socialize and enjoy. Connect with others. Make a nice meal. Do things together as a team.

There may be friction in the air on Sunday thanks to the 2nd Quarter Moon. This is the time when the Moon and the Sun are at 90 degrees to each other, creating tension between the masculine and feminine polarity. One side wants peace and balance. The other just may want to retreat into his or her shell and not talk about it. There may be a great deal of hidden emotion underneath the surface. There may be some passive/aggressive behavior going on. Be patient with people and realize that they may be going through a very difficult passage and are just not sure how to express it. Start with coming to a place of peace within.
