The Moon is waning to newness this week. Go easy on yourself. During the first part of the week, it may feel as if our emotional reserves are lower than usual. Don’t overtax your system with extra commitments and plans. Pick yoga sets that help to rejuvenate the glandular system, the kidneys and the adrenals.  (Click Here to see Puranjot’s Kaur’s recent blog post with the yoga set “Toning the Kidneys” from Owner’s Manual for the Human Body)

When the week kicks off on Monday, we may feel sluggish. We may feel as if we are running into roadblocks. Other people are being stubborn. Don’t push too hard. The harder you push, the more resistance you will face. Be gentle, be understanding. If you take the time to understand the other person’s perspective and let him or her know that he or she is being heard, you will be much more successful in the long run.

The Moon is in tricky Gemini on Tuesday. Things may not be what they seem at first. Is everything changing? Are people being more fickle than usual? Yes. Be adaptable. Be quick. This is a day to think on your feet. You may find yourself changing your mind quite a few times as well. This is fine. Stay light, keep the conversation focused on simple, everyday topics. There is no need to delve deeply into taboo issues. This is not the time.

The big news on Wednesday is the New Moon in Gemini. The Sun and the Moon are together in the same place in the sky, setting the stage for an emotional reset. This is a time for new beginnings. It is a time to make a change. Is there something you would like to let go of? Is there something that you would like to manifest? This is the time to set a new cycle into motion. If you are considering starting a forty-day practice, this is the perfect day to get it underway. How would you like to see yourself in one moon (one month) from now. Ask yourself what you need to change on a day to day basis in order to meet a significant long-term goal.

The Moon is at home in sensitive, watery Cancer on Thursday. Note how the energy has changed. You may find yourself more in your emotions and less in your thoughts. Go ahead and tune in to your intuition. It is stronger than usual. Enjoy time near a body of water. Take a bath. Make sure to drink lots of water. Connect with the water element and connect with your own needs. Ask yourself what needs to change in order for you to feel more nurtured. Let down your guard long enough for others to get in close and be able to support you. Offer the truth of how you really feel.

The Moon is void-of-course for a large portion of the day on Friday, suggesting that you get your work done early, make your plan during the beginning of the day, and consider taking the afternoon off. At 12:18pm EST (9:18am PST), the Moon enters her “in between” state and as a result, we begin to feel out of sorts. We feel as if we have lost our sense of direction. Our intuition is off. Don’t make any major plans or decisions during this time. Connections with others may feel awkward during the afternoon and evening hours. Settle in at home with some good mantra! Ajeet Kaur’s, “Haseya” is a perfect choice to help settle the mind and relax the nervous system. Let the healing energy flow with tracks like “Akaal” and the “Sa Ta Na Ma” meditation.

Over the weekend, the Sun is having fun in social, creative Leo. Use Saturday to connect with children and bring out your own inner child. Let your innocence come through in everything you do. Let your heart shine, and shine big. Do everything you do with a smile. Be grateful. Leo is associated with the heart. Lead with your heart.

Egos may get inflated on Sunday. Don’t get caught up in a competitive battle over who is right and who is better, etc. Let it go. Remember the three “c’s”. Don’t’ compare, complain or criticize. Instead, be supportive, elevating and appreciative. Let your inner light shine.
