The week may be off to a sluggish start. The Moon has shrunk down to almost nothing as she is in her last couple days of waning before reaching absolute Newness on Wednesday. As a result, our energy levels feel low and our attention is turned inward. Meanwhile, we are in the last couple days of Mercury retrograde as the planet of the mind slows down to a stop before turning direct on Wednesday.
Monday is known as the “Moon’s Day” – especially appropriate on this Monday since the Moon will be transiting her home sign of Cancer. On this day we may feel extra “Moony” – that is, extra moody. Our moods go up and down like the ocean tides. The bottom line is we will feel most comfortable at home with a home cooked meal and a good book. Nurturing is the name of the game. We seek out what is most cozy and comfortable. Reach out to your Mother.
Nesting instincts continue to be strong on Tuesday as well as the Cancer Moon presides during this final time of the waning 4th quarter. Speaking of instincts, really tune into spirit at this time. Messages are coming through. Your instincts and psychic awareness are extra strong.
The New Moon is exact on Wednesday – the day when the Moon and the Sun are together in the sign of Leo, the fixed fire sign. This is a day of new beginnings. It is a time to let go of the old in order to welcome in the new. Ask yourself what habits and behaviors no longer serve you. What are you willing to give up in order to welcome new blessings into your life? It is also the day that Mercury stations and turns direct. From now on (well, until the next Mercury retrograde period in October), we are in the clear with regard to signing contracts and making purchases of things with electronic and mechanical parts. Take note that the next couple weeks may be spent fixing or correcting things that went haywire and clearing up misunderstandings that happened over the last three weeks when Mercury was retrograde.
The atmosphere is light and festive on Thursday. We are asked to be a kid again and have fun. Be bold and let your leadership qualities shine through. Take note that at 4:48pm EST (1:48pm PST) the Moon goes void-of-course and for the rest of the day we feel as if we have lost our sense of direction and intuition. Make no major decisions during this time. Instead, stick to routine tasks.
We may wake up in a bit of a fog on Friday. The Moon is void-of-course until 9:20am EST (6:20am PST). Until that time, we are functioning without our beacon of intuition. After that is a time to get organized and stay grounded. Take care of the details and put things in their place.
Try not to get too critical of yourself or others on Saturday. The drive for perfection may be noble, but it may also get you in trouble with friends and loved ones. How much is it really worth? Notice how you may be getting all worked up over the smallest things. Notice where there is tension in your body. It’s your own buzzing brain that is causing this unnecessary distress. Turn to some good mantra to help get you out of your head and critical mind and help you relax and connect with the infinite. The album by Jai-Jagdeesh, “Meditations for Transformation: The Expansive Spirit” is a perfect pick for this time. Tracks to “Expand Intuitive Knowing (Ek Ong Kar Sat Gur Prasad)” and “Expand from the Heart Center (Aad Guray Nameh) are just a couple of the euphoric gems featured on this powerful album.
Sleep in and enjoy breakfast in bed on Sunday. It isn’t until 9:30am EST (6:30am PST) that our minds are fully engaged and we have our intuition fully online. For the rest of the day, enjoy time with your romantic partner. It is a time to do things with a companion. Don’t tackle anything by yourself. Make connections, be the bridge. Enjoy connecting as a team.
