The energy starts out high at the beginning of the week, thanks to the Full Moon that we had over the last weekend. Tension may still exist thanks to an emotional outbursts or difficult conversation you had with a friend or a loved one yesterday or the day before. Over the week,  the energy will wane, just as the Moon is waning.

There is a slow decrescendo of energy in the air. As a result, it is a time for meditative, inward-focused yoga kriyas and practices as opposed to the more challenging, physical and outward-directed ones. A good resource for this week is Guru Rattana’s classic yoga manual, Relax and Renew. Not only is this Kundalini Manual a great anthology of yoga sets and meditations, but also full of recipes, yogic tips, and quotes from Yogi Bhajan.

Use Monday to take care of online business, emails, and Internet research. Connect with those who resonate with your energy. Build your community. Contribute to your community. Ask how you can serve in the highest way. Put your unique talents to good use. Use social media to connect in new ways. Gain insight and inspiration from like-minded individuals.

On Tuesday, prepare for unexpected news, people, and/or events to crop up in your life. There is no way you can plan for what is in store for you today. Just go with the flow and be open to what comes your way. Most importantly, be opened to unexpected opportunities that you did not expect or plan for. This is one of those times in which preparation meets opportunity. Here is your opportunity – from a rather unlikely source, or person. Be open to walking through that door even though you may have no idea what lies on the other side.

The morning hours may feel a little fuzzy on Wednesday. It is possible you may wake up feeling as if you have very little direction. This is to be expected. Our intuition is off thanks to the fact that the Moon is void-of-course. She is “in between” signs, and thus we have lost our beacon of feminine receptivity and sensitivity. Don’t make any big plans or make any major decisions at work until 11:51am EST (8:51am PST) when the Moon gets back on track and we have our full wits about us once again.

The day on Thursday calls for creative, artistic and expressive projects. Use music, dance and poetry to show how you feel. There is a sensitive, compassionate feeling in the air. It’s not surprising if you get the urge to pick up every stray dog that you see. Be sensitive to other people’s feelings. They are going through more than you realize. Be a good listener. Patience goes a long way. Be a caring friend. Reach out to others that you haven’t connected with in a while.

On Friday you are all set in the morning, but during the majority of the day there is a long period of the void-of-course Moon. Get a jump start on the day and make your plans and big decisions before 1pm EST (10am PST). After this time, we move into a period of uncertainty in which it is difficult to make any sort of decision or judgment. Our intuition is off. Connections with others seem awkward. This is to be expected. Stick to routine tasks. Continue on projects that are already underway. It isn’t until 7:52pm EST (4:52pm PST) that the Moon is back on track and we have our intuition back again.

Saturday’s call is to get out of the house and exercise. Use the power of the Aries Moon to move your physical body. Join with friends for a game of soccer or basketball or go out on a long hike by yourself or with a friend or loved one. The energy needs to move!

On Sunday, the Moon is at half mast. This is the start of the 4th quarter. The Moon starts her final quarter phase before returning to newness next week. As a result, you may find that there is tension between the male and female polarity today. The two species are not seeing eye-to-eye.
