The Moon is waning this week. She is in her last phase as she gradually gets smaller and smaller while rising later and later each night. As a result, our emotional reserves dwindle as the week progresses. Choose yoga sets that are more meditative and inward-focused as opposed to the more physically challenging ones. Also remember that Mercury is still retrograde – all this week. It is a time to turn inward, reflect on the past and get back money that is owed to you. This is not a time to sign contracts or purchase anything with electrical or mechanical parts. Communication is off in general and our minds seem to be working “in reverse”.

On Monday, the Moon in quick-witted Gemini has us running around from place to place. We have a great deal on our agendas. Don’t get down on yourself if you don’t complete every task on your list. Remember that because of Mercury’s retrograde influence, everything will take you a little longer than usual and travel errors and mishaps are more common. People have a lot to say yet the overall message may be unclear. Don’t assume that you fully understand the situation. There is a lot going on that is confused and uncertain. Remember not to make any big and final decisions at this time.

On Tuesday the Moon is void-of-course for most all of the day. From 4am to midnight EST (1am – 9pm PST), the Moon is in her “in between” stage. This suggests that are minds are out-of-sync. We have temporarily lost our intuition and sense of direction. It is an okay time for working on routine tasks but not a time to strategize or make plans for the future. Postpone any big business or strategy meetings for another time. In general everyone will feel out-of-sorts. We have lost our sense of purpose. This is normal. Remember that it is also temporary! Don’t sweat it.

Everyone’s a bit more sensitive than usual on Wednesday. Go easy on people and listen to what they have to say. Emotions are running high. Soothe turbulent waters with the “Narayan Mantra.” A great recording of this is on Nirinjan Kaur’s album, “From Within.” You won’t be disappointed with this beautiful, soothing and relaxing track – or any of the others! For an uplifting and tranquil experience – either to meditate along with or to have playing in the background as you work, cook or dance.

There is another long void-of-course period on Thursday, suggesting that you may just want to stay home from work and sleep. The day is better for sitting on the couch, watching movies and eating home cooked meals than for doing much of anything else. From 7:21am – 12:18am (Friday morning) EST, (4:21am – 9:18pm PST), the Moon is out-to-lunch and so is our intuition. Play it cool, go with the flow, and don’t make any big plans or decisions at this time.

The Moon is in jolly Leo on Friday, giving us an extra spring in our step.  It is a time to have fun, be creative, and let your heart-light shine. Give big compliments. Flattery will go a long way. People want to be the center of attention.

There is a New Moon Solar eclipse on Saturday, exact at 5:58am EST (2:58am PST). Use this morning for a power sadhana to really go inward and connect! This is a time to put your prayers out ot the universe. It is the perfect time to begin a forty-day sadhana, and/or break a habit that no longer serves you. It is a time to put new cycles into motion. Let go of the old in order to make room for the new!

On Sunday, the name of the game is: organize. Clean your desk, clean closets, cabinets and refrigerators. Clean things out that are old and no longer get used. Take care of fabric that needs mending or things around the house that need fixing. Pay attention to details. Take care of the mail on your desk. Then go for a long walk then take a nice long nap. Don’t be too critical of yourself or others. Go to bed early.
