The Moon is waning to newness this week. We are in the fourth quarter phase as the feminine luminary dwindles away, smaller each night until she gets so close to the Sun that we don’t even see her at all. As a result, you may feel your emotional energy dwindling this week as well. Our emotional reserves aren’t as strong and we may feel ourselves turning inward instead of outward.

The Moon is in Pisces on Monday, bringing out the feeling of compassion in all of us. It is a time to nurture and be nurtured. Love and understanding are the keynotes of the day. Go with the flow and be patient. Listen to others and listen to yourself. Our intuition is stronger than usual. Follow your hunches.

Our creativity is turned up a notch on Tuesday with the Pisces Moon still reigning. Look at the big picture and be imaginative in your approach to the challenges that present themselves. Tackle artistic projects. This is a good day for playing and writing music. It’s a day for poetry, song and dance. Express yourself through motion, music and art. It is also a good day to meditate! This is a time when the lunar energy helps us to merge with the one and to completely realize ek ong kar. The stunning album, “Kundalini Rising” is one to add to the collection of mantras and songs to help you get there. Tracks like “Swimming to Meet You” and “Whispering Woods” compliment the Aquarian mantras such as “Wah Yantee” and “Wahe Guru Wahe Jio.”

The Moon is feeling feisty on Wednesday and so are we. She is back at the start of the astrological calendar, that is, transiting the first sign, Aries. As a result, we are feeling bold, courageous and perhaps a little angry. Our competitive side is rising up and fights are likely to break out. This is a good day to exercise. Channel this Aries warrier energy into a long hike, swim or bike ride. Otherwise it may come out in an explosive tyraid aimed at someone who is undeserving of such an outbreak.

This Aries energy continues into Thursday, suggesting that we may be hot under the collar on this day as well. Cucumber juice is a good way to cool the fire. Also don’t forget your cold shower first thing in the morning.

The Moon is void-of-course for a good portion of the day on Friday, so take note. From 4:47am – 4:18pm EST (1:47am – 1:18pm PST), the Moon is “in between” signs, and thus, it is not a good time to make any big decisions or plans. Our intuition is temporarily offline. We have lost our sense of direction. Interactions with others are awkward. It’s not the most productive work day. In fact, you may want to take the day off altogether. If you do find yourself in the workplace, remember that it is best to stick to just routine tasks.

Saturday is the day of the New Moon. Both the Moon and the Sun are in the grounded Earth sign of Taurus, suggesting a time of new beginnings. It is a time to let go of that which is no longer serving you in order to make space in your life for something you’d like to manifest. What do you want to transform? What cycle needs to come to a close so that a new one can begin? This is a time to look deep within yourself and plant new seeds. Make a commitment once and for all to the thing that is most important to you in your life. Now is the time to put your wish out to the universe.

There is another long lunar void-of-course period on Sunday, making it a day to relax and socialize as opposed to making any big plans for the week ahead. From 11:10am – 11:40pm EST (8:10am – 8:40pm PST), the Moon is out-to-lunch and so is our intuition. Realize that you may be feeling a bit off, as if you have lost your purpose or sense of direction. Hang in there. It’s only temporary. Just go with the flow and enjoy.
