The Moon is waning. She is getting smaller and smaller in the sky and rising later and later every night. As a result, we may feel our emotional reserves waning as well. Take it easy on yourself this week as you go within and really look to see what’s there. Practice yoga sets and meditations that are less physically challenging and more meditative and introspective. Remember also that Mercury is still retrograde all this week. Communication with others is off. Directions are muddled. Our phones are acting quirky and mechanical breakdowns are more likely. Travel plans are disrupted and we should avoid signing contracts or purchasing anything with electrical or mechanical parts.

The week begins on an emotional note, partly due to the fact that the effects of the Full Moon from last weekend are still lingering, and partly because of the fact that the Moon is in sensitive Scorpio. Our emotions are likely to go to extremes – huge ups and downs. It is a time to dig deeply and unearth the dark, taboo issues that we normally keep buried inside. Get to the root cause of difficult situations instead of just dealing with the surface reality.

On Tuesday, the Moon is void-of-course for a good portion of the day so be aware. We shouldn’t make any major plans or decisions after 12:06pm EST (9:06am PST). This is not a time for big strategy meetings at work. In fact, just the opposite is true. Stick to routine tasks only. Better yet, don’t even go to work at all. If you do find yourself there, make your plan early, before the Moon goes void-of-course.

Fuzziness clears and we are back on track on Wednesday. The Moon in Sagittarius is an uplifting influence, telling us to take the high road and remember to laugh. Play elevating music to keep your spirits up throughout the day. If you are looking for such an album to add to your collection, consider Mirabai Ceiba’s Flores. This multi-lingual, multi-cultural album weaves together different ancient traditions in a majestic and complete album that lifts your soul to infinity. It’s influence lingers in your heart long after the music stops playing!

On Thursday, take a chance. Take a risk. Have confidence that the universe will support you in this leap of faith. Do it. Think big. Go for it. Thursday is the day of Jupiter, and Jupiter’s influence is a lucky one. The great Santa Claus of the sky is on your side. His good influence will see you through.

There is a lunar void-of-course period on Friday morning, suggesting that you sleep in and not make any major decisions during this time. From 9:30am – 2pm EST (6:30am – 11am PST), the Moon is in her “in between” state and as a result, we have lost our sense of direction and intuition. This is a time for meditation, routine tasks and walks in nature. Sleep in if you can. Realize that connections with others becomes fuzzy as a result of this influence.

Saturday is a day to get to work. Tackle projects that are important to you. Work on yourself. Exercise. Saturday is “Saturn’s Day” and Saturn is the great taskmaster. Use this influence to get started on things around the house that you’ve been meaning to patch up. Tackle chores. Do some serious deep cleaning in your kitchen and bathroom. Organize shelves. Saturn is on board to help.

Sunday marks the start of the 4th quarter Moon, indicating that the Sun and the Moon are at a 90 degree angle to each other. As a result, we may feel friction between the masculine and feminine polarities today. One side maybe acting self-centered and childish while the other is pushing to get things done and take care of projects and duties that are important for the team. Perhaps there is pressure to excel more in the career arena while there is the conflicting desire to play and go on fun adventures. There is a restlessness in the air. There is a nervous anxiety. There is a desire to get things going and get the ball rolling. Be careful. This energy can also make people rather accident-prone.
