The Moon is waning. She is rising well after sunset, later and later each night, to the point where most people will go to bed before she even gets up. This may make for a disruptive week of sleep and uneven sleeping schedule, unless you are a night owl who is up most of the night and likes to sleep most of the day.

Monday is April first, also known as April Fool’s Day. The Moon in Pisces calls on everyone to be compassionate and caring. This is a time when our creative juices are flowing. Tackle projects that require an artistic touch.

The Pisces Moon helps us to see the big picture. Take this perspective into the workplace on Tuesday and don’t get hung up on the details. Remind your co-workers to be creative in their thinking and help projects along by being encouraging and mindful of the overall goal. Tuesday is also a good time to meditate. With the Moon in this sensitive, mutable water sign, we are encouraged to merge with the one. Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, the most evolved, and the one so “out there” that it’s about to burst into light. If you are looking for some inspiration in this arena, consider Tera Naam’s album, “One in Everyone.” The track “God and We are One” is in the very spirit that the cosmos are projecting at this time. Other tracks like “Aakan Jor” help to shed the ego and “Chattr Chakra Vartee” help to make you fearless.

There is a long lunar void-of-course period to be aware of on Wednesday. From 11:36am – 10:56pm EST (8:36am – 7:56pm PST) the Moon is “in between” signs, thus making it difficult for us to get our bearings. During this close-to-12-hour period during the day, we feel as if we are left in the dark without a flashlight. We have lost our sense of direction and our intuition is out to lunch. Make no major decisions during this time. Do not hold any strategy meetings at work. Remember that interpersonal relations will be off. It’s better simply to stick to routine tasks.

On Thursday, the Aries Moon encourages to get into our bodies. Aries is ruled by Mars, the planet of action. Get together with friends and go for a long walk. Play soccer, go swimming, do some kundalini yoga. The body needs to move and needs to sweat. This is a time when anger can rise to the surface and manifest in a nasty way. It’s better to channel this energy into something more positive. Consider the yoga kriya, “To Remove Inner Anger” at this time.

Friday is the New Moon in Aries. Both the Sun and the Moon are together in this first sign of the zodiac, marking a time of new beginnings. This is the day to plant seeds. Let go of what no longer serves you and chart a course of action for the year ahead. Examine your life and consider what needs to change. Look deep within and be honest with yourself. What do you need to let go of so that you can make room in your life for the things you want to manifest. Are you operating by simply routine or automatic pilot? Make conscious decisions with regard to where you want to go and how you are going to get there. Friday is the day to put your intentions out to the universe.

Saturday is a time to enjoy. The Moon in grounded, sensual Taurus asks you to relax and indulge. Tonight is the perfect night for romance. Treat your loved one to a special night out. It’s okay to splurge. Enjoy good food and comfortable surroundings. Treat each other to a foot massage before bed.

The Taurus Moon reigns on Sunday as well. Enjoy breakfast in bed. Have a lavish feast mid-day and invite others to the table. Dance, play music and be creative. This is a time when our senses are heightened and music is extra pleasing. Have fun and enjoy the comforts and the people around you. Be grateful for what you have instead of being concerned about what you don’t have.
